Dayco Product Engineers have a strategic role in the design and development of new products, therefore high motivation to work in a fast-growing business environment is a must for any applicant to this position. This role will report into the Lead Engineer and will be part of a small and close-knit team of expert engineers.

In order to enhance our product engineering team we’re looking for a Product Engineer.

The resource will apply the engineering standards guidelines with the support of the regional team. Main goals are support the competitively of the products family and create link between the global R&D and regional center.

The main activities of the resource will be:

• Analyze the feasibility, competitiveness and quality of a product through conceptual 3D models;
• Interface with internal or external suppliers and colleagues from ither functions to define component manufacturing and assembly process;
• Definition 3D models of product assembly and components based on review of calculation and system simulations;
• Knowledge of DFMEA and DVP&R documentations and links to Desing and Validation;
• Follow the validation process with evaluation of failure modes and corrective actions.

The incumbent will support the team defining with the Lead Engineer product design standards from conceptual sketch to production ready status.

• Master Degree (or similar training) in Engineering (Mechanical or Automotive preferred);
• Thorough understanding of problem-solving techniques (DOE, DFMEA, robust design, etc.);
• Ability to design/analyze various kinds of component and provide failure analysis from field result;
• Good interpersonal skills to interact with other internal dpt, customers and suppliers;
• Fluent in English;
• Knowledge of Cad systems;
• Knowledge of Office (Powerpoint/Excel)
