Wiegert has accepted the opportunity to serve as Dayco\u2019s Chief Executive Officer. Joel is responsible for the global operational performance and strategic direction of Dayco. Wiegert has also been named as a member of Dayco\u2019s Board of Managers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-74987 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/uncommonegg.com\/dayco\/wp-content\/uploads\/news-joel-e-wiegert.jpg\" alt=\"News Joel E Wiegert\" width=\"198\" height=\"209\" \/>For the past 16 years Wiegert has held several senior leadership roles with BorgWarner.\u00a0 Most recently he was the President and General Manager of BorgWarner Morse Systems.<\/p>\n<p>His career also included 7 years of working for Dana Corporation where he held engineering and sales positions of increasing responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p>Joel earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Wheaton College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Bowling Green State University.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter a rigorous search, the board concluded that Joel\u2019s outstanding leadership skills, along with his strong track record of success, made him the outstanding candidate for the role,\u201d said Dr. Stephan Kessel, Chairman of the Board of Managers. \u201cJoel has demonstrated throughout his career the ability to work in different environments around the world leading to impressive results.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wiegert added, \u201cI want to thank the Dayco Board for the opportunity to join a company with such a long and traditioned history.\u00a0 I am looking forward to leading the over 4,000 dedicated global employees and working together to deliver on our commitments to our customers, investors and to each other.\u00a0 As a team, together we will Move Forward.
