Recently, the team made a special appearance at Dayco\u2019s headquarters located in Troy, Michigan to unveil their strategic plan for success at the upcoming 2019 VEX IQ world championships. While at Dayco, the students presented the different techniques and strategies they\u2019ve developed as a team and conducted a live demonstration to show what it will take to become a 2019 champion.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-72609 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/uncommonegg.com\/dayco\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/news_robotics_2019-1-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"News Robotics 2019\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/uncommonegg.com\/dayco\/wp-content\/uploads\/news_robotics_2019-1.jpg 400w, https:\/\/uncommonegg.com\/dayco\/wp-content\/uploads\/news_robotics_2019-1-200x150.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/>Van Hoosen is one of 9 teams to qualify from Michigan and one of 400 teams to qualify globally to the world championships being held in Louisville, Kentucky April 28<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0through April 30<sup>th<\/sup>. The 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0graders shared with Dayco their robots key design features, pointing out that the robot was engineered entirely out of VEX approved parts and VEX approved software. When planning the design, they made sure to focus on key components, including the robots driving abilities, programming skills and it\u2019s ability to perform alliance work.<\/p>\n<p>When learning about the opportunity, Dayco eagerly jumped on board to support Odin\u2019s Robots and is excited to be involved with the 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0graders initiatives, as they make their way to the championships in Louisville.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDayco\u2019s generous sponsorship came as quite a pleasant surprise from the team. We are very appreciative of the support and look forward to competing in Louisville.\u201d said Shanti Raj, Van Hoosen Middle School robotics coach.<\/p>\n<p>The team will use the sponsorship towards registration fees, hotel accommodations and other travel expenses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDayco\u2019s community involvement initiatives and the opportunity to support a team of dedicated and motivated students, couldn\u2019t be a more perfect fit.
