This requires constant contact with the customer including a significant amount of time on-site at customer locations.\u00a0 The incumbent must be very sensitive to customer needs and communicate them internally to ensure Dayco maintains a competitive position in this market. The incumbent must also participate in efforts to improve Dayco\u2019s Project management and other processes as well as to improve Dayco\u2019s understanding of FEAD systems, Hybrid\/Electric systems, and system\/product interaction through feedback from the customer and the field.\u00a0 The incumbent must prioritize customer requests internally and with the customer to properly utilize resources available.<\/p>\n<p>The Application Engineer must be technically competent, energetic, proactive, and have excellent communication skills. The Application Engineer needs to build and maintain a strong professional relationship network with key decision makers and technical experts at our customers. The Application Engineer will need to interact effectively with colleagues locally within Dayco, and globally with colleagues across Dayco\u2019s worldwide footprint.<\/p>\n<h3>PRINCIPAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical first point of contact with OEs<\/li>\n<li>Conduct product and system level analysis calculations on belt drive systems<\/li>\n<li>Hunt new product opportunities in Advanced Engineering groups at OEs to grow new business<\/li>\n<li>Increase product share with customers on current product technologies<\/li>\n<li>Communicate technical information to customers as well as to Dayco Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales through technical presentations, design reviews, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Provide timely answers and fast assessment during system design, testing, and troubleshooting processes<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular on-site warranty part reviews and investigations<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an awareness of competitive activity and industry trends related to Dayco products and thereby identify future product needs to maintain and grow Dayco\u2019s position in the marketplace. Communicate these needs to R&amp;D, Sales, and Product Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Min Educational Experience:<\/strong> Bachelor\u2019s Degree<\/p>\n<p><strong>Field of Study\/Technical Certifications:<\/strong> Mechanical Engineering<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum # of Years of Experience:<\/strong> 5 year of industry experience with OE or as supplier with direct contact with OE.
